Personal profile

Research interests

I’m a postdoctoral researcher with experience in environmental and resource policy and the use of interdisciplinary approaches to environmental governance, environmental conflict management, and alternative and just development pathways. I also have experience working with climate policy and partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean, and I am inspired by and engaged in efforts to understand human-nonhuman relations and how these shape our understanding of life.

During my doctoral journey I adopted an interdisciplinary lens drawing on sociology, psychology, and economics to explore public perceptions of energy and climate policy, calling for an inclusive energy transition with greater public engagement in discussions about energy futures. Most recently, I am working on the evaluation of the transformative potential of rural development initiatives and their capacity to leverage alternative transitions away from growth-inspired ideals.

I have been teaching and giving guest lectures in the fields of Ethics of Climate Change, The Economics of Climate Change, and Understanding Sustainability.
