Research interests
Professor Paloma Valdivia's research focuses on the relationship of technology with education and the community. Especially in community networks and in the planning and execution of sustainable projects. In the field of research on university teaching he specializes in qualitative methodologies with ICT. He has particular interests in digital social innovation. He has directed competitive research projects, innovation at the university level and in the territory, and has developed, advised and evaluated programs with companies and social entities. And he supervises students in those areas.
Academic biography
After completing a first degree in Primary Education (Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón -Peru) and a master's degree in Management and Planning of Educational Projects (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Paloma spent a stay at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Mexico). He carried out his doctoral studies on social capital as a foundation for the sustainability of telecentres and began his working life as a professor at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in the department of educational theories and social pedagogy.
Supervisory interests
Paloma is interested in working with applicants seeking to conduct research related to open, flexible, playful community-led educational projects.
