My research agenda addresses topics related to EU politics and decision-making. Concerned with the general question of how decisions at the EU level are made, I have contributed to several research fields on legislative behavior in the European Parliament, European elections, transparency and accountability regimes in the EU, inter-institutional relations, EU agency governance and Europeanization of climate and environmental policies. The results of my research, which have often been the outcome of international collaborations, have been communicated in national and international conferences and mostly published in peer-review journals. These include Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Common Market Studies, Party Poliics, Government & Opposition, Environmental Politics, Parliamentary Affairs, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Administration & Society, and Ecology & Society. As a Principal Investigator of several national R+D projects as well as a national coordinator and participant of several EU-level ones, I have assumed leading responsibilities and acquired a variety of research capacities. My overall research skills were also improved during my stays at the University of Urbana-Champaign, the University of Chicago, the University of California at San Diego, the University of California at Berkeley and the European University Institute.
