Research interests

The basis of my research is linguistic archaeology, understood as the study of the immaterial remains of ancient languages. Remains such as opaque place names, considered linguistic fossils, can provide us with immeasurable information about how our ancestors spoke and even thought. To decipher them, my doctoral thesis focused on the design of a statistical method that relates segments of these toponyms with elements of the landscape.
