    Research interests

    Michael E. Moss is a graduate researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His field of specialization is Biblical translation, with a special focus on Chinese Catholic translations and the Latin Bible. He is currently researching the works and thought of Chinese priest, scholar and educator Ma Xiangbo (1840-1939).

    He is fluent in English, Spanish and French; furthermore, he has a good command of Mandarin Chinese, which he has been studying since 2013 and of which he is a certified teacher since 2019. He also has a good grasp of Literary Sinitic (Classical Chinese), which he has studied full-time with a special focus on Ming and Qing literature.

    Michael is a junior researcher at the East Asian Studies and Research Centre (Centre d'Estudis i Recerca sobre Àsia Oriental, CERAO) and he has carried out research stays at Fu Jen University in Taipei in 2014, 2015, and 2023.
