Research interests
Maria Prats Ferret holds a PhD in Geography. She is senior lecturer of regional geographical analysis at the Department of Geography, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
She has been Geography Degree Coordinator and Minor on gender studies Coordinator. She is currently the Director of the Observatory for Equality at UAB. She is a member of the Geography and Gender research group and a member of the Interuniversity Institute of Women and gender studies. At the international networks, she is member of the Gender and Geography Commission Steering Committee (International Geographical Union).
She has participated in research projects and has published several articles and book chapters related to gender, use of time, public spaces and childrens geographies.
