Introduction
Elisa Del Sordo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business (Faculty of Economics and Business), where she is also the Coordinator of Research Seminars. She earned a Ph.D. in Management cum laude from LUISS University in July 2025, and was Visiting Scholar at Texas Christian University, M.J. Neeley School of Business, during the Academic Year 2023/2024.
Research
Elisa is a strategy scholar and economic sociologist. Her research examines how and why firms select, retain, and replace top managers, particularly through the lenses of CEO succession and executive labor markets. She also studies research methodology and causal logics, with a particular interest in their role in theorizing and empirical modeling.
