    Research interests

Laura is a postdoctoral researcher in the LIVEN research lab, where she explores energy transitions integrating the framework of societal metabolism (MuSIASEM) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Her current work focuses on quantifying and analysing the nexus of time use, energy, and other materials at the country level, with special emphasis on the lock-in of existent stocks and trade-offs of dimensions. She explores possible transitions to sustainability while keeping “a good life” considering the implications of trade, biophysical and socio-economic constraints in the different sectors of the economy. Previously, she worked within the IASTE team and visited University of Leiden.
