Research interests
Nurse specialist in family and community health, with more than 10 years of clinical experience with geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations. Since 2011 my research interests focus on understanding the individual and group meanings built around HIV infection, its treatment, and the attitudes of health professionals. I am also interested in the field of affective-sexual health, vulnerable populations, the gender perspective, and the intersectional approach. In recent years, I am collecting data on the effectiveness of Narrative Photography as a teaching tool. Expert in qualitative methods, in particular Grounded Theory and Metasynthesis.
Educational management
Secretary of the Department of Nursing since 2020. Coordinator and teacher in the subjects: 'Culture, Society and Health' in the first year of the Degree in Nursing, and 'Family and Community Nursing' in the second year. Director of several baccalaureate and masters' dissertations. Four doctoral theses are in progress and three are already defended.
