    Personal profile

    Research interests

The research trajectory focuses on the study of behaviour in mobility contexts from an educational and psychosocial perspective, with particular attention to attitude change processes in the training of driving instructors.

In this field, road traffic injuries have been identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) as one of the major global public health challenges, highlighting the need to incorporate complementary approaches to traditional ones, in which education constitutes a strategic axis of intervention, in line with international road safety priorities.

Within this framework, the research has been developed in the context of the Chair in Driver Education and Training and the Research Group on Education and Road Safety (ERES’v) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), contributing to the analysis and evaluation of educational models aligned with the European GDE matrix (Goals for Driver Education).

Among the most relevant contributions is the participation in publications in international journals in the fields of transport and road safety, aimed at analysing the impact of attitude-change models in instructor training, with results showing improvements in risk perception, emotional involvement, and the predisposition towards safe behaviours.

The research activity is characterised by its connection with real training contexts and strong links to the professional mobility sector, including collaborations with organisations such as the Confederación Nacional de Autoescuelas (CNAE), the European Driving Schools Association (EFA), the Ibero-American Association of Driver Education and Training Centres (AICEFOV), and international transport research networks such as WCTRS.

This trajectory is oriented towards the development of an independent research line focused on education for safe mobility and the analysis of behaviour in mobility contexts, a field that remains underdeveloped in the international literature compared to other approaches, thus constituting a strategic emerging line with high potential for scientific growth, knowledge transfer, and competitive funding acquisition.
