    Research interests

    Jesús Ramos Martín is a Doctor in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is an ecological economist with experience in the field of economic development and the evolution of economic systems from a biophysical point of view, applying concepts from thermodynamics and complex systems theory. He has been rector of the Universidad Regional Amazónica Ikiam in Ecuador, as well as a researcher at FLACSO Ecuador, and Dean of the Center for Strategic Foresight at IAEN, Ecuador. He has also been a researcher and professor at the Institute of Social Ecology of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Austria), and at the National Research Institute in Food and Nutrition (INRAN) from Italy.
