Professor of Procedural Law at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona since 2005, with regular teaching in the organization of the judicial power, civil and criminal procedure in the Law Degree and Master of Laws. Author of books and articles on various issues of civil and criminal procedure, my research uses economic analysis and statistics as methodological tooks to analyze legal institutions.

I have been an active researcher in the area of procedural law, particularly of mechanisms related to efficacy and efficiency of justice, of judicial behavior and its determinants, and of the interface between law and technology, especially on legal ontologies and legal tools to support justice and judicial decision-making.

I have directed 4 doctoral dissertations and are currently supervising 2 doctoral students.
