Personal profile

Research interests

I lead the Wildlife Ecology & Health (WE&H) group and am a member of SEFaS at the UAB. As a wildlife ecologist, my research integrates multiple disciplines to address issues related to diseases ecology and wildlife management. My primary focus is on understanding how pathogens and food shortages affect wildlife populations, as well as assessing the ecological impact of hunting on vertebrate communities. The role of ungulates as ecosystem engineers is also a key part of my research agenda.
