Research interests

Born in London (UK), 1989. He is a PhD researcher at the department of Geography at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, Spain). His research focuses on the political ecology of the urban economy and urbanisation including: materials recycling, transport and urban regeneration. He holds an Msc in inter-disciplinary studies in sustainability (Ecological Economics) from ICTA-UAB (Spain) and an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Manchester (UK).

His current research interests include political ecological perspectives on paid and unpaid work as a metabolic relation between humans and their environment, shifts in the this metabolism which are accompanying processes of urbanisation and urban change and critical perspectives on the ecological contradictions produced by urbanisation driven by the demands of capital accumulation.

He has previously worked as a freelance Economic Justice Researcher, a grant writing consultant for R&D projects on Low Carbon Technologies, and produced policy research on housing and podcasts on policy and social change at the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA, UK).
