I am a professor in the Department of Nursing at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where I have taught undergraduate, postgraduate and Master's degrees since 2010, the year in which Nursing studies were incorporated into this university. Previously, and since 1989, I combined my main healthcare work at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital with teaching work at the Vall d'Hebron University School. In 2001 I graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UAB) and in 2013 I received my doctorate from the University of Barcelona defending my thesis entitled: Nursing professional identity: construction and development in students during their university education.

My current teaching activity is basically focused on the Nursing Degree, where I am responsible for different subjects and tutor for Final Degree Projects (TFG). From 2010 until now, I have participated arduously in the implementation, development and accreditation of undergraduate studies in a newly created Department, Nursing, at the UAB, with all that this entails. I have also had teaching coordination responsibilities from the beginning. Thus, I have been coordinator of the Practicums until 2013 and from then until now coordinator of the 4th Year of the Nursing Degree. Throughout these years I have also participated in activities to promote studies (teaching hall or open days at the university), in UAB teaching innovation projects (Service Learning (ApS)), and in teacher selection activities and evaluation of teaching activity as commissioned by the university itself. I also collaborate in different postgraduate and master's degrees as a teacher or director of Final Master's Projects (TFM). Examples of these are the Master's Degree in Surgical Nursing at the UAB, the Master's Degree in Neonatal and Pediatric Nursing Intensive Care at the UAB and the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Research and Innovation in Nursing Care. Since 2005 she has directed the Master's and Postgraduate in Surgical Nursing at the same university.

As for my research activity, I have a section of research recognized by AQU (2020), I am a methodological evaluator of projects of the North Metropolitan Research Support Unit (IDIAPJGol), I have been part of evaluation panels of different doctoral theses and I am currently directing two theses in the Medicine Doctorate Program at the UAB.

Since 2020 I am a member of the GREMSAS Multidisciplinary Health and Society Research Group, a consolidated group recognized by the Agency for University and Research Grants Management (AGAUR) (2021SGR01484) and previously an emerging group (2017SGR00917). Previously, he belonged to the AFIN Research Group (2014-2020), recognized in 2014 by the AGAUR as an Emerging Research Group (2014SGR1149) and in 2017 as a Consolidated Research Group (2017SGR1791). As a member of these groups I have collaborated and continue to collaborate in important projects financed by different institutions. For example, the RecerCaixa project awarded in 2015 by the Obra Social la Caixa and the ACUP (€78,359.71); the 2016 MINECO project (€36,300); or the project of the Health Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Jordi Gol i Gorina Institute Foundation for Research awarded in 2022 (€86,855). Outside of these groups, I have also participated in projects financed by different organizations such as the 2016 Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (€61,700), the Barcelona Official College of Nurses 2018 (€4,620) or the General Council of Spanish Nursing 2021 (€10,000).

Among other research projects, not funded but linked and in collaboration with assistance, highlight 1) those developed with the ASSIR (sexual and reproductive health care units) of the primary care of the Northern Metropolitan area and 2) those carried out by with the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital through the Learning and Service (ApS) teaching innovation project with the Final Degree Projects. In addition to participating in different joint research projects, I have also collaborated in the research training of health professionals, specifically those of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital or the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa.
