    Research interests

    Ana Mar Fernández Pasarín is Jean Monnet Chair in European Policies since 2018 and Associate Professor in Politics and Public Administration at the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) since 2010 (accredited as Full Professor by the ANECA in 2022). Between 2009-2015, she was the vice-dean for economic affairs (Faculty of Political Science and Sociology, UAB) and between 2016 and 2018, the coordinator of the Political Science Unit of the UAB. Since 2014, She is the director of the EUGOV: Government and Governance Consolidated Research Group (acknowledged by the Catalan government). She was the Principal Investigator of the following Spanish R+D projects: 'EUCOM: Democratisation and Regulatory Decision-Making in the EU: A Quantitative Analysis of Comitology' (MICINN 2014-2017) and ‘EUDEL. Delegation in the Post-Lisbon Era’ (MICINN 2018-2022). Ana Mar Fernández Pasarín holds three research assessments exercises CNEAI (last period awarded: 2015-2020).  Her main research areas are European institutional dynamics and public policies, with specific reference to EU Decision-Making and Europeanisation dynamics. Along her research carrer, she has contributed to knowledge on the EU Presidential system, comitology procedures, EU policies (In particular consular and visa policy) and Europeanisation studies. This experience has been acknowledged by the European Commission through the awarding of two consecutive Jean Monnet Chairs (2018-2021 and 2022-2025).
