Sistemes Dinàmics: Teoria, modelització matemática i aplicacions

Organisation profile

Organisation profile

The group has an interuniversity structure located at UAB, UdG, and URV. We have a common interest in understanding natural phenomena and how we can use dynamical systems to understand and describe them. We use distinct mathematical techniques to study the different models. They come from continuous and discrete analysis, theoretical and practical analysis, and using finite or infinite dimensional models. We use indistinctly ordinary or partial differential equations, and the analytical tools are used together with numerical and statistical analysis.
The modelization coming from engineering, biology, medicine, and other fields is in our base of analysis. The study of the distinct periodical structure and its stability is another constant in our development. We are working in six research lines: Qualitative theory of differential equations, discrete dynamical systems, complex networks, celestial mechanics, population dynamics and epidemics, and medical models.
