El Centre Grup de Tècniques de Separació en Química, GTS, és un “Grup Consolidat de Recerca de Qualitat” des de 1993. El Centre GTS ha desenvolupat la seva activitat durant els últims 30 anys en aspectes bàsics i aplicats en ciència i tecnologia de separacions.
La recerca del Centre GTS es centra en el disseny i desenvolupament de noves tècniques de separació així com de la millora de les que ja existeixen, aplicant-les a gran varietat de situacions que inclouen: recerca medioambiental, aplicacions biomèdiques i agroalimentàries i processos analítics.
L’activitat de GTS inclou, el desenvolupament de projectes, consultoria, assessorament i servei al client en temes concrets. El suport econòmic per al desenvolupament d’aquestes activitats l’aporten programes de recerca nacionals i europeus així com convenis amb organismes i companyies públiques i privades. Destacar la col·laboració internacional del Centre GTS amb grups de recerca d’Europa, USA i Xina amb finalitats específiques de R+D+i així com acadèmiques.
El Centre GTS segueix les directrius Norma de Qualitat Internacional ISO 9001:2015.
