El Grup de Recerca en Antropologia Fonamental i Orientada (GRAFO) té com a objectiu general contribuir al desenvolupament teòric i metodològic de l'antropologia. És un grup de recerca del Departament d’Antropologia Social i Cultural de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona reconegut com a Grup de Recerca Consolidat per l'AGAUR (2017-SGR-1325).

El grup de recerca GRAFO es va fundar el 1999. Durant els primers nou anys va ser dirigit per l'ara professora emÈrita Teresa San Román i en els següents nou anys, del 2008 al 2017, per la catedràtica Aurora González Echevarría. Miranda Lubbers va liderar el grup durant el període 2018-2021 i en l'actualitat el coordinador és José Luis Molina.

Internament, el grup està estructurat al voltant de tres unitats de recerca. Les tres unitats de recerca són getp-GRAFO ("Estudis transculturals de parentiu"), coordinat per Anna Piella i Jorge Grau, egolab-GRAFO ("Laboratori de xarxes personals i comunitats"), coordinat per Hugo Valenzuela i Coalesce Lab ("Laboratory for the Computational Analysis of Egonetworks, Social Cohesion, and Exclusion") coordinat per Miranda Lubbers. Aquests dos equips adopten dos enfocs complementaris de la relatedness: mentre que el getp se centra en les relacions de parentiu i en els entorns ampliats d'atenció a la infància, egolab es centra en les xarxes personals dels individus. 

El grup segueix el Codi de Bones Pràctiques Científiques de la UAB.
