Organisation profile

The SPCOMNAV group carries out fundamental research on statistical signal processing and communications. The group applies this fundamental knowledge to real-life applications at the intersection of signal processing and wireless communications, such as the interplay between positioning and communication systems. In this context, SPCOMNAV is a world-renowned research group in positioning using satellite and 5G terrestrial signals, as well as in secure satellite communications. It thus enjoys a privileged place in the new era of secure satellite-based applications, where our members have done seminal contributions. SPCOMNAV is also present in the design of positioning services beyond 5G, exploiting novel technologies such as Reflective Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), and in the design of future signals for LEO PNT satellites.
