El Grup de Neuroplasticitat i Regeneració congrega, sota un tema d’interès comú, els fenòmens
de degeneració, regeneració i plasticitat del sistema nerviós, a investigadors que aporten
coneixement i experiència en diverses àrees de la neurociència: neurofisiologia, neurobiologia,
microcirurgia, histologia, bioquímica i bioelectrònica. Les línies de recerca que manté el grup
són: Regeneració i plasticitat en lesions de nervis perifèrics, Epigenètica de lesions
nervioses i dolor neuropàtic, Neuropaties perifèriques, Fisiopatologia i teràpia de malalties
de motoneurones, Neuroprotecció i Neuroinflamació, Neuropròtesis i interfícies neurals, i
Neuromodulació de lesions de medul·la espinal. Actualment el grup consta de 5 IPs, liderant els
seus propis projectes. El grup ha obtingut contínuament finançament a projectes a convocatòries
nacionals i internacionals, contractes d’investigació amb empreses, patents, així com la
participació a xarxes d’investigació nacionals i europees.
