Aquest Departament promou i organitza la docència i la recerca en Farmacologia, Terapèutica i Toxicologia, coordina els ensenyaments de les àrees de coneixement de Farmacologia i de Toxicologia en tots els Centres de la UAB i organitza i desenvolupa programes i estudis de doctorat i de postgrau. Quant a la recerca, promou les activitats i iniciatives de recerca i transferència de coneixements del seu personal acadèmic i en dóna suport.
