The two datasets (one for egos and the other for alters) contain information about the personal networks of support of 30 participants diagnosed with chronic pain and under treatment at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital Pain Unit of Santander (Spain). Participants were recruited through convenient sampling during visits or outpatient treatment for pain consultation between July 2014 and July 2015. Data collection was conducted at the hospital or at the participants'homes, according to their health status and personal preferences. Each of the personal networks of the 30 cases under study contain 20 alters or nominations.
