La traducción de noticias con soporte icónico : la imagen como referente cultural

The article presents the situation of translating news illustrated with photographs. It uses as a corpus a news article that appeared in a Moroccan newspaper in which the cultural load is both in the written text and in the photograph that accompanies it. Assuming that the image is a cultural fact, the paper examines the notion of cultural reference and presents an analysis of the text on the distinction between textual culturemes and iconic culturemes. It also reflects on the coherence between the written and visual text, which allows this kind of hybrid text to be displayed as a single text.
