Resum

Originally, the name Third Half refers to a rugby tradition, extended to other sports, where at the end of the match, rivals meet to share a stay together and have a drink or a snack, as an excuse to fraternize and relieve any resentment that may have arisen during the match. The Third Half is as or more important than the match itself, because it is the time when the players learn to manage their emotions, to respect and enjoy relationships with their rivals and teammates, and thus to manage the hostilities that the game has produced in them, establishing cordial and friendly relations because of their shared experience of the sport. With the same purpose, the Unit of Coaching for Academics (UCCA-SPL; UAB, 2022) adapted this practice for the design of a psychoeducational intervention among doctoral students through monthly- structured meetings at the UAB Campus.
