Resum

Like many other businesses worldwide in the urgent need to face their digital transformation mainly after the COVID-19 global pandemic, many Spanish start-ups and SMEs in general, and more specifically non-digital international entrepreneurial ventures (IEVs), are still lagged regarding their digitalization. Compared to their born-digital counterparts, the largely dominant offline condition of non-digital IEVs makes them potentially more vulnerable to the consequences of the global COVID-19 crisis which increasingly demands for introducing online customer-centric servitization in firms' business models (BMs). In this chapter, developed in the form of an integrative review, we build upon contextual evidence in the Spanish business sector and several theoretical arguments regarding crisis management, business model innovation, and digital dynamic capabilities (DDC) to propose a business (re)modelling framework of digital transformation based on servitization with the aim to help non-digital IEVs increase resilience and competitiveness in the post-COVID era.
