N2 - In the last decade the population of foreign nationality in Barcelona has increased in a remarkable way reaching 10% of the residents. In a parallel way, a strong variation has existed in the most present nationalities and in its main demographic characteristics, with also substantial changes in their spatial distribution within the city. It is this last aspect that we wanted to study using the statistical techniques of spatial analysis. The main goal is to observe the variations experienced from 1991 and the different residential rules in function of the nationality.
