Resum
The outbreak of the revolt against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi in February 2011, the subsequent civil war, and the ulterior legislative and constituent processes have enabled Islamists to initiate a process of emergence in the public space, rebuilding its bases and gentrification. The Islamist sectors have joined the process of rebuilding the political system, participating in the elections and in the newly created institutions. Unlike other countries in the region, Islamist parties fail to become the first political force in the country. However, they have become a particularly important ideological axis. These events have proved the heterogeneity of the phenomenon grouped under the common label of political Islam.
