Carbon disulphide reacts with bis(γ-mercaptopropylamine)nickel(II) by insertion into the Ni-N bond to yield a planar dithiocarbamate complex, in which the Ni-S bond is broken and a sulphydryl group is formed. © 1984 Verlag Chemie GmbH.
