Resum
One of the issues missionaries encountered upon their arrival in China was the apparent incompatibility between certain Confucian precepts and the Christian message. opposed to “mother”. In this paper I will discuss the solutions that have been proposed to overcome this issue by analyzing a large corpus of Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox translations.
