N2 - Quantum computation with neutral atoms was investigated in optical microtraps. The quantum gate operation was performed by adiabatically approaching two traps. The capability of this scheme to realize a square root of swap gate was demonstrated. The two-particle wave-function in an orthonormal basis was expanded. Simulations were based on rubidium atoms in stae-of-the-art optical microtraps.
