Resum
The influence of the resonant broadening in the trap assisted tunneling process, in MIM structures, is discussed in the framework of the stationary resonance model recently proposed by the authors. The resonant broadening and the resonant tunneling current are calculated from the Green's function of the potential barrier. It is shown that the logarithmic derivative of conductance depends only on two parameters (height and thickness of the insulator barrier). Experimental results in the literature agree with the predictions for a great range of temperatures. Copyright © 1981 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
