Resum
The development of composites based on conductive phases dispersed in polymeric matrices has permitted important advances in analytical electrochemistry particularly in sensor devices. The present work reviews the use of biocomposite materials in the construction of glucose amperometric biosensors. These composites are bulk-modified biologically (adding enzymes and cofactors) and chemically (blending mediators and catalysis). The review covers all references found in literature up to 1996.
