Resum

In 2015, was published posthumously the magna opera of Lluís Nicolau d'Olwer: Pere Abelard. Un humanista del segle XII. The main aim of this article is to analyze the original love experience between Abelard and Heloisa, from Nicolau's point of view: what it was, how they lived it, how it shaped the rest of their lives. According to Nicolau, the "tragic love story" between the two lovers –lived in very different ways by each protagonist– is a representative episode of the so-called the Renaissance of the 12th century. Heloisa personifies more than Abelard the spirit of those new times.
