Las tropas de Granada en las guerras de Cataluña 1684-1697 : una visión social

From a social view of the military history, the present article pretends to explain the participation and experiences of the Tercios recruited by the Granada's Kingdom in wars carried by the Hispanic Monarchy against the aggresive imperialism of Luis XIV. Without forgetting their warlike performance in the long campaign in the catalan front in 1684 and Nine Years was, 1689-1697, this performance, far from becoming an object of investigation, becomes a factor that allows us to explain more objectively their war experience. Thus, more than the military anecdote/s we are interested in other aspects as they are the number of soldiers in campaign or the deaths they had, their geographic origin, their age, the presence of disease and death...
