La estimulación intracraneal reforzante en relación con los procesos de aprendizaje y memoria

This paper is a review of the effects of reinforcing brain electrical stimulation on learning and memory processes. We consider findings where the brain stimulation administered by the investigator or the intracranial self-stimulation improved or disrupted different kinds of learning. We also consider the hypothesis that reinforces could maintain the stimulus-response connections in order to permit the memory consolidation processes.
