Resum
Recently, social implications of the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence in our daily lives have been analyzed. This has raised questions about the ways of resistance that can be employed in the face of it. Some authors propose ethical and moral reflections. Others analyze the regulations that should be imposed on its use. The research presented here is part of a different line of thinking. It aims to analyze communities that are emerging and operating to deploy practices of resistance and dissidence against algorithmic systems. In this sense, we present an analysis of the relationships between algorithms, power, and dissidence developed by different social collectives in the Global South and Latin America. The operation of these collectives, especially in the virtual realm, and their mobilization of citizens is described. Building on the contributions of the sociology of translation, the study demonstrates how a process of problematization, interestment and enrolment unfolds to create ever-wider and more articulated transnational communities of resistance.
