N2 - We reanalyze the limits on the gravitino mass (Formula presented) in superlight gravitino scenarios derived from arguments on energy loss during gravitational collapse. We conclude that the mass range (Formula presented) eV(Formula presented) eV is excluded by SN 1987A data. In terms of the scale of supersymmetry breaking (Formula presented), the range 70 GeV (Formula presented) GeV is not allowed. © 1998 The American Physical Society.
