Resum

Gastric motility disorders pose a difficult yet common clinical problem. This paper briefly reviews the motor physiology of the stomach and the mechanisms of different clinical disorders associated with disturbed gastric emptying. The most useful diagnostic methods and the interpretation of their results are described.
