Resum
This study investigates the use of "X" by women politicians in Colombia. It aims to understand whether there are gender barriers linked to the performance of women politicians on this platform. The methodology employed combines a quantitative analysis based on the study of 518,156 tweets, and an analysis of semi-structured interviews with the five most influential congresswomen on "X" according to the quantitative data obtained in this study. The results reveal that there are differences in terms of gender in message amplification and number of followers. Additionally, the women interviewed highlight the presence of disparities or barriers in communication and the use of networks in their political activities.
