El psicólogo como periodista: historia, filosofía y epistemología de la psicología en la obra temprana de Alberto Ramón Vilanova(1978-1980).

The results of an exploratory research on the work of the Argentinian psychologist-historian Alberto Vilanova are presented. In the context of the author’s university education and the main traits of Argentinian psychology between 1960 and 1975, a quantitative and qualitative analysis was carried out on all articles (N=267) published by Vilanova between 1978 and 1980, when, while exiled in Paraguay, he served as a journalist and as a science communicator in the newspaper La Tribuna. After a content analysis of each primary source, specific sociobibliometric indicators were used to sort and classify each newspaper article. The results would indicate a treatment of a great variety of scientific disciplines and psychological theories and personalities in the articles, and from several meta-theoretical and methodological perspectives. We conclude that most articles show an ever-present pluralistic conceptualization of psychology, in an epistemological sense, and a socio-cultural and collectivist definition of science.
