Resum
This paper analyzes recent transformations in China's model, from its shift from an industrial focus to a service-based economy to the excesses in infrastructure and construction investment, which have led to overcapacity and debt accumulation. Examines the impact of these dynamics on domestic growth, private enterprises, and consumption. Finally, the article explores the implications of China's current economic policies on its global role, highlighting its focus on leadership within the BRICS bloc and tensions in its relationship with the United States. The analysis concludes with recommendations to foster economic sustainability, including structural reforms aimed at boosting domestic consumption and private investment.
