El autógrafo de «El cardenal de Belén» de Lope de Vega: Un original de imprenta por accidente

Resum

The autograph manuscript of El cardenal de Belén contains, among others, the typical marks of the count that were made in the print-shop to estimate the amount of manuscript text corresponding to printed text. This circumstance is anomalous, because this sort of fair copy, except in a few and very rare occasions, was not the author's autograph manuscript, but rather a clean copy made by a professional. This paper offers an explanation of why the print-shop of Viuda de Alonso Martín had to use, in an exceptional manner, this manuscript. On the way, we also studied some implications related to the editorial process, such as the ascertainment that the dedicatories were not included in this fair copy.
