Resum
The aftermath of the victory of Fratelli d’Italia in the Italian elections of 2022, just a few months ago, represents a good moment to address the debate on the «return» of fascism. It is worth inquiring the extent to which the political projects of the European and world populist radical right-wing are fascist, and, ultimately, what is and what remains of fascism. Even though it is possible to trace the roots of these projects in long-running processes and movements, we will fo-cus on the years since the Great Recession of 2008. We will pay par-ticular attention to the period between the coming to power of Donald Trump in the United States and the present day.
