Resum

The discussion about the term dissident geographies advocate the establishment of bonds among practices and knowledges about the space that could be thought with emancipatories ends. Relationship between power and society mediated by geographical knowledge is put into question. The paper is divided into two parts. In the first one we refer to texts that have discussed the question of dissidence in geography. From them we will derive some elements that let us take a dissident position within the discipline. In the second one we will present critically two of the discussion that are taking place in the process of definition of a field of dissident geographies: the relationship between academy and activism mediated by the intellectual figure and the links between reality and society mediated by the raising of disciplinarian discourses.
