Resum
The present exploratory and regional study of Ibero-America has the general objective of defining the level of development of higher education institutions with respect to the quality of equality that they promote. To this end, it uses a survey study done with a previously validated questionnaire, which has provided an Ibero-American sample of 9,889 valid questionnaires from 15 countries and 23 universities. The results show that the institutions implement specific activities or have programs to address equality, but they do not evaluate their quality. They also reveal differences in ratings between students (who rate higher than the other tiers), between institutions (the public ones rate higher), seniority in the institution (rates lower) and area of knowledge (humanities and social sciences rate higher than engineering and health in the case of university staff and, on the contrary, according to the student body’s rating).
