Resum
In the context of economic development, the acquisition of skills plays a vital role, and training is the main tool for promoting the development of individual competencies. However, access to this training can be limited by several factors. This article focuses on identifying the determinants that influence women's participation in training programs in Chile, considering the particularities of the Chilean labor market in recent years. To achieve this objective, an analysis of the structure of the Chilean labor market is carried out using data extracted from the Labor Survey (ENCLA) corresponding to the year 2019. In addition, an analysis of the most recent data related to training, provided by the National Socioeconomic Characterization Survey (CASEN) corresponding to the years 2015 and 2017, is developed. The analysis is based on a logistic regression methodology. The results obtained show that the probability of a
woman participating in training programs in Chile is mainly influenced by income level, employment particularities, educational level and family environment characteristics.
