Dermatosis ampollar IgA lineal del adulto. Aportación de un caso y revisión de la literatura

Linear IgA bullous dermatosis is an autoimmune blistering disease characterized by linear deposition of IgA along the basement membrane zone. We report the case of a 79-year-old man with an erythemato-vesicular eruption resembling erythema multiforme, who developed the characteristic skin lesions of linear IgA bullous dermatosis ten days later. The diagnosis was confirmed by histopathology and direct immunofluorescence. Although the clinical and histopathologic features of bullous pemphigoid, dermatitis herpetiformis and linear IgA bullous dermatosis overlap, linear IgA bullous dermatosis may be differentiated from the other conditions by its characteristic immunofluorescence pattern in adition to a compatible clinical and histologic features.
