title = "Cuestionando la prostituci{\'o}n en el antiguo Egipto",
abstract = "The present article analyses the roles that women played in ancient Mesopotamia in the management of death and mourning. From a perspective that considers both the mythical-ideological and the daily life spheres, this contribution explores how women accompanied the dead in the cultural process that made possible the transformation of the dead body into an ancestor. More specifically, it delves into the key function women played in the wailing and funerary lamentation and proposes a reading of the female leading roles that present women as those capable of managing the crisis that menace to destabilize and tear apart the social fabric.",
