    Resum

The corticoadrenal stress response of group-housed male Wistar rats was the same in rats stressed alone or with other rats with which they were housed. Thus, individually and grouped, stressed rats showed a similar corticosterone response to both kinds of stress used in the experiment. The effects of the presence of conspecifics on corticoadrenal response to stress could depend on the housing conditions (grouped or isolated) during the days before the experiment. © 1981.
